Vestibular & Balance Rehabilitation

What is Vestibular & Balance Rehabilitation?

Vestibular rehabilitation is a specialized form of therapy designed to alleviate symptoms related to vestibular disorders, which affect balance and spatial orientation. This type of rehabilitation typically involves a series of exercises and activities that aim to improve balance, reduce dizziness, and enhance the body's ability to adapt to changes in position.

Therapists often assess a patient's specific symptoms and create a personalized program that may include gaze stabilization exercises, balance training, and conditioning activities. The goal is to help individuals regain control over their movements, improve their quality of life, and reduce the risk of falls. Vestibular rehabilitation can be beneficial for those with conditions like vertigo, Meniere’s disease, vestibular neuritis, and other inner ear issues.
